August 1st to 10th marked an adventure in my family. It was the first real family vacation Brian and I have taken since Liam was born 5 years ago. We rented a cottage on Ipperwash Beach and packed up Desi (12), Liam (5) and Keira (2) and every toy they've ever owned into two vans (borrowed Gramma for the trip up!).
Even though it rained half the time, we went 12 hours without power and cottages just down the road were shovelling hail off their decks one morning, it was soooooo great. Don't get me wrong, it was work. But we had a blast.
I'll be working out how to add photo albums to these Family Diaries shortly, but feel free to use this as a sample of how to post blog/diary entries.
