The second day of weaning went really well!
Declan woke up this morning and I brought him into bed....I know I said I wouldn't but I was tired. LOL I didn't nurse him even though her was pretty persistant. Instead, he crawled all over me for about 10 minutes. Over my head, on my head, over my torso, over my head..........it was really annoying at the time but looking back it was pretty funny! DH got up with him and fed him breakfast.
Nap time was pretty easy since I nursed him before putting him down. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do about this but I'll leave it until the weekend and reassess the situation then.
I had to put Declan to bed tonight since DH plays basketball. I'm so proud of myself.......I didn't cave.
I brought his sippy cup up to his bedroom and offered it to him while I was reading him a book. He drank a bit but wasn't really all that interested. After the book I asked him if he wanted more milk and at that point he started scooting into the nursing position. I offered him the sippy cup again but he refused so I turned off the light and snuggled him for a few minutes before putting him in his crib. No fussing or anything!!!!!!
It's been almost 30 minutes and I haven't heard a peep so I'm assuming he's sleeping but probably dreaming of nursing LOL
